About College

Faculty of Medicine, Misr University for Science and Technology, MUST, is distinguished by its innovative educational approach, its encouragement of scientific research, its sponsorship of individual creations, and community service. The postgraduate program at the Faculty of Medicine constitutes an integrated system of modern trends to present the medical educational process with modern concepts mixed with clinical experience to make the faculty graduate a model of distinguished physician, who can compete in the labor market.

The university administration has paid special attention to the faculty laboratories, museums, and classrooms. As well as by providing a distinguished library with the latest findings of scientists to advance the medical education process, which is reflected in enriching knowledge, developing capabilities, and improving student performance. As for the university teaching hospital, it is a lofty edifice that puts its mark on the medical map of Egypt to make the Faculty of Medicine an educational and service institution at the highest level.

Welcome to the post-graduate studies program in the Faculty of Medicine, Misr University for Science and Technology, MUST.

Our educational programs are committed to helping medical graduates develop knowledge, critical thinking and providing comprehensive training that will help them compete in the job market.

In addition to the resources available in the Faculty of Medicine, the postgraduate student will have access to resources available in the other faculties of the university.

Our admission team will guide you through the application process and all the way throughout your study. The official communication will be through your email (@must.edu.eg).

  • MSc. in Forensic Medicine & Toxicology.

Terms of Application

The student must have a bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery from a university in the Arab Republic of Egypt, or its equivalent from other universities recognized by the Supreme Council of Universities (with a general grade of at least good).

  • The college informs students of the internal coordination standards before they submit registration papers by announcing these standards:
  • To have spent the concession period.
  • To have a permit to practice the profession (clinical specializations).
  • Full-time study for two semesters before entering the second part exam. Training can be for the same period at least in one of the accredited hospitals or scientific centers after fulfilling the conditions set by the centers of the competent departments.
  • Passing the following courses (master’s programmes):

-Scientific citation course

 English language proficiency course according to the requirements of the university.

 Fundamentals of medical scientific research course.

 Training courses approved by the faculty in the fields of medical statistics and computer skills.

 Any new requirements approved by the Postgraduate Studies Committee and approved by the Faculty Council and the University Council.

The student chooses one of the following courses (diploma and master):

Medical ethics.

 Legal and legislative aspects of medical practices.

 Safety and quality programs in laboratories.

 Principles and standards of quality in health care.

 Fundamentals of medical education

Papers and documents required for registration:

Each candidate must submit a file containing the following documents:

  • Application form.
  • Bachelor certificate showing the general grade and the grade of the specialty subject.
  • Certificate of ending the internship.
  • Birth certificate.
  • The approval of the employer on registration and full time learning.
  • Conscription position.
  • Recent six photographs.
  • Foreign students must submit a letter from the embassy that includes the approval to enroll in the postgraduate studies and identify the party that bears the expenses.

*  A student is not considered enrolled except after paying the tuition fees.

Beginning of study:

  • April semester: study starts in October.
  • October semester: study starts in April.

Studying and Registration Dates

The post-graduate program

announcement takes place twice a

year on the following dates:

Mid-July to mid-August.

Mid-December to mid-January.

Transfer and Approve the Accredited Hours:

  • Some students may be accepted after the approval of the faculty council based on the approval of the department council to transfer students from another university to Misr University for Science and Technology. The student must have passed the first part exam successfully with at least grade C and did not register for the thesis yet. Also, it is a must to make a scientific clearing to what had been studied according to the accredited faculty regulation.
