Radiology and Medical Imaging Technology (RMIT) overview The radiology and Medical Imaging Technology program aims to prepare the students to acquire knowledge about radiology and medical imaging technology. Besides learning the basics of technical and ethical dealing with various pathological cases, physical laws of radiation, its risks, methods of prevention, and rules of occupational safety for them and the patient.
Program structure:
The program of Radiology and Medical Imaging Technology is composed of 128 credit hours. The academic year begins from the 1st of October of the following year; each academic year consists of two semesters. Each semester is extended over about three months and covers 16 credit hours
on average. The student studies the program for four years as the following:
• First year, includes general courses supporting the basic knowledge of health science
technology.
• The Second year involves studying X-ray imaging technology such as X-ray anatomy,
pathology, and patient positioning technique.
• For the third year, the students will study two modalities over the two-semester period,
Computed Tomography, and Ultrasound imaging technology.
Fourth-year, the student will gain knowledge about Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Technology and its discipline. In the final semester, the student will take a final research
project and advanced elective courses.
To obtain the degree of bachelor’s in Radiology and Medical Imaging Technology, the student
is required to complete 128 credit hours as follows:
• University Requirements: Share 12 Credit Hours at 9.4%
• College requirements: Shares 32 Credit Hours at 25%.
• Radiology and Medical Imaging Technology Core Courses: Shares 81 credit hours at a percentage of 63.3%.
• Elective Courses: shares 3 credit hours at a percentage of 2.3%
Attributes of the Graduate: The program graduate is distinguished by his competence and professionalism to assist in a healthy professional life to support the quantitative and qualitative deficiency in medical services in the healthcare sector.
The aim of the program is to:
1. Provide graduates students who function as competent diagnostic Radiographic Technologists with the application of state-of-the-art scientific techniques in medical imaging.
2. Enable graduates students who exhibit professional behaviors and practice under international standards for radiation protection of patients, staff, and the environment.
3. Enable graduates students who understand the importance of professional development and growth and who are socially- conscious, ethically competent, and have communication and leadership skills.
4. Prepare graduates students who demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills with experience in research and projects planning and conduction.

Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) overview
The Medical Laboratory Technology program aims to prepare the students to acquire knowledge
about high technology studies that support medical laboratories in healthcare. Besides learning
the basics of technical and ethical dealing with various pathological samples, effective
management and leadership, proficient communication and ethical interaction with patients and
healthcare providers, and rules of laboratory safety for them and the patient.
Program structure:
The program of Medical laboratory Technology is composed of 128 credit hours distributed over
four years as the following:
• Scientific degrees are awarded to students who have completed graduation requirements in
three graduation rounds at the end of each semester (May round – September round – January
round).
• The college study system is based on the credit hour system and the duration of study to
obtain a bachelor’s degree in four years (every year two semesters, spring and fall), each
a semester consists of 15 weeks (fifteen weeks).
• One credit hour equals one hour of theoretical contact or two hours of practical lab work,
or three hours of clinical training.
• The academic plan for the program includes clinical training to enhance students’ practical
skills.
• The college holds an eight-week summer semester, in which the student enrolls after the
end of the second semester exams, according to the following:

The respiratory care Technology program aims to prepare the students to acquire knowledge about
respiratory care technology. Besides learning the basics of technical and ethical dealing with various
cardiopulmonary disorders. Effective management and leadership, proficient communication, and ethical interaction with patients and healthcare providers.
Program structure:
The program of Respiratory Care Technology is composed of 128 credit hours. The academic year begins from the 1st of October of the following year; each academic year consists of two semesters. Each semester is extended over about three months and covers 16 credit hours on average. The student studies the program for four years as the following:
• First year, includes general courses supporting the basic knowledge of health science technology.
• The Second year involves studying the basic science for respiratory care technology such as
“Respiratory &Cardiovascular Anatomy” & “Respiratory &Cardiovascular Physiology”.
• For the third year, the students will study other modalities service the advanced technology in
respiratory care such as Advanced Mechanical Ventilation & Advanced Pulmonary Function
Testing.
• Fourth year, the student will gain knowledge about Polysomnography Technology, Pulmonary
Rehabilitation, Respiratory Home Care. In the final semester, the students will take a final research
project.

The Health Administration and Informatics Technology program aims to introduce the students’ to computer technology, internet tools, and the World Wide Web with a focus on selected computer applications and electronic technology related to healthcare practices. Students also learn about the impact of technology on management, education, clinical practice, and research, as well as information technologies that manage clinical information and support patient care.
Program structure:
The program of Health Administration and Informatics Technology is composed of 128 credit hours. The academic year begins from the 1st of October of the following year; each academic year consists of two semesters. Each semester is extended over about three months and covers 16 credit hours on average. The student studies the program for four years as the following:
